On the stock market, Elan remains flavour of the month with brokers. ABN AMRO and Goodbody's have both issued buy recommendations to investors. The shares are viewed as offering relatively good value at current market levels. The share price has been knocked back following its most recent acquisition of Neurex. The shares traditionally slip back after an acquisition, but have tended to take off again after a brief period.
