Polish company Cementownia Ozarow, which is controlled by CRH, and Fels-Werke, a unit of Germany's Preussag, have placed binding offers to buy Polish lime producer Trzuskawica, the Polish treasury ministry said yesterday.

The sale of Poland's largest lime producer is a second attempt by the state treasury, which is the sole owner of the plant based in the southern Kielce region, to privatise the company. The plant employs 1,300 people and has 30 per cent share in the local market.
