A Cork-based firm specialising in the development and distribution of radio communications software was launched this week at a trade show in the US. Phoenix Internet Corporation, which is headed by company founder Mr Oliver Leamy, is expected to create up to 50 jobs by 2004 at its Ballingeary headquarters in the west Cork gaeltacht.

The company's products will help create tools for developing applications using radio technologies.
