Central Bank issues warning

The Central Bank yesterday published a warning notice about two companies operating as unauthorised investment business firms in Ireland. The notice names Gerson Lehmann Inc (Thailand), which has been recommending the purchase of shares to members of the Irish public, and Crown Capital Management Corporation (Bahamas), which has been offering to buy shares from members of the Irish public. It is a criminal offence for an investment firm to operate in the Republic without authorisation from the Central Bank.
