Baltimore Technologies has formed a partnership with several mobile technology vendors, including Ericsson and Siemens, to launch a wireless solution to enable mobile ebusiness.

The software is based on Baltimore's telepathy wireless esecurity framework and combines the latest standards-based Wireless Public Key Infrastructure, handsets and smartcard technologies in an integrated package.

Baltimore said this would reduce the deployment complexity and timeframe for mobile operators, financial institutions and enterprise customers.

The solution is immediately available for trial deployment under the name of Telepathy QuickStart.
