Avocent board under way

Alabama-based Avocent International, which employs 90 people at Shannon, Co Clare, has appointed Mr John Dunne as the first member of the corporation's newly created strategic advisory board. M Dunne is the former director general of IBEC and the chairman of IDA Ireland. Avocent is a leading provider of connectivity solutions for enterprise data centres, service providers and financial institutions worldwide.
