Animex, the oil and gas development and production company, has resumed development of the Kirtayel field in Russia, following the dismissal of an action brought by a third party. The latest six months results to June 30th, 1998, showed a fall in sales from $8.2 million (£5.4 million) to $5.8 million, reflecting the drop in oil prices. The loss before tax has increased from $1.1 million to $2.5 million.
