AIB names directors to Singapore bank

AIB has appointed two directors to the board of the Singapore-based Keppel TatLee Bank

AIB has appointed two directors to the board of the Singapore-based Keppel TatLee Bank. The two directors, Mr Walter Coakley, the head of AIB's strategic development unit and Mr Michael Buckley, an executive director of AIB and managing director of AIB capital markets, will take up their posts upon the completion of the bank's strategic alliance with Keppel TatLee.

Mr Coakley will assume an executive director's role, with responsibility for the strategic development of the bank. Mr Buckley will hold a non-executive director's position.

Last month AIB announced it had agreed to take a stake of up to 24.9 per cent in the Singapore bank. As part of this agreement, AIB's private banking and treasury businesses in Singapore will be integrated with Keppel TatLee's operations.
