A settlement for £47,795 has been registered against CountyGlen, the former plc which was delisted two years ago. The judgment was registered in favour of Coopers and Lybrand, London.

According to a spokeswoman for Coopers and Lybrand the judgment relates to due diligence work carried out for CountyGlen in 1996 for which the company was never paid. The legal process was initiated in April 1997.

CountyGlen has an address at Fleming Court, Fleming Place, Dublin 4. Messages left on a telephone answering machine at this address did not lead to any comment from the company. CountyGlen was involved in negotiations aimed at acquiring a British manufacturer of shipping containers, Thomas Storey Ltd, in 1996, when the stock exchange, which had already suspended the company, decided it should be delisted. CountyGlen was the subject of an inspector's report in 1994.
