£3bn in overseas cash

OVERSEAS investment made a net contribution of more than £3 billion last year to the Republic's economy and was the driving force behind its growth, according to a guide issued by Coopers and Lybrand. A headline in yesterday's newspaper incorrectly stated the investment as £3 million.
