Tommy Murphy Cup:Wicklow overcame Offaly by five points in Arklow on Saturday despite the absence through illness of manager Mick O'Dwyer.
The 1-16 to 1-11 victory in their opening game of this year's competition didn't look likely early on as Ciarán McManus scored a goal after just three minutes and Offaly were 1-7 to 0-3 to the good after 23 minutes.
With a wind at their backs the home side improved for the remaining 12 minutes of the first half and Thomas Walsh struck a goal and then Wicklow scored six unanswered point to lead by 1-9 to 1-7 at the half-time break.
Wicklow continued to dominate in the second half and in the end ran out convincing winners.
Elsewhere, there was some respite for Clare manager Páidí Ó Sé as his side secured a semi-final place by beating Munster rivals Tipperary by 1-13 to 0-12 in Ardfinnan.
On form Waterford saw off the challenge of Carlow, destroying the Leinster side by 8-10 to 0-7 in Dungarvan.
The 27-point winning margin was made possible thanks to a four-goal return for Gary Hurney. Carlow failed to put up a challenge and were 3-4 to 0-4 down by the half-time break.
Antrim are only Ulster team in the last four after taking a 4-11 to 1-10 victory away from London on Saturday evening.
Conor McGourty scored three goals at Ruislip and Ciarán Close managed seven points as Antrim closed off the home side towards the latter stages of the game.
The visiting side led by 2-4 to 0-4 at half-time. With 10 minutes remaining, however, London were still in the game as the scoreboard read 2-8 to 1-7 to Antrim. They failed to maintain their challenge and the Ulster side ran out comprehensive winners.
