Mike Tyson has been fined $77 by the Connecticut State police because he did not have a motorcycle licence at the time of his crash which left him with a punctured lung and a broken rib.

Doctors say Tyson - who had a tube in his punctured right lung to reinflate it - will take around six weeks to recover from the accident on a motorway near his home near Hartford, but that he is expected to be released within 48 hours from Hartford Hospital.

Doctor Ira Trocki, the fighter's personal plastic surgeon and physician, said the injury should not harm Tyson's boxing skills.
