Tyrone 2-13 Louth 0-13:TYRONE MADE it three wins from three thanks to a six-point win at Drogheda yesterday.
Goals from Peter Harte and Damian McCaul proved key as the visitors’ half-back line scored 2-3 between them – despite Harte missing a second-half penalty.
Louth started well with a brace of Derek Crilly points putting them 0-4 to 0-2 ahead. Kyle Coney and Martin Penrose brought Tyrone level before Harte hit a superb finish to the top corner to leave it 1-4 to 0-4 after 14 minutes.
Further points from Owen Mulligan and Harte left Tyrone 1-7 to 0-6 ahead at the break.
McCaul’s superb goal made it 2-8 to 0-7. Points from substitutes Brian White and Darren Clarke cut the deficit for Louth but the home side’s hopes nosedived when Paddy Keenan was sent off with 15 minutes to go.
