A player is permitted one toe-tap and one bounce of the ball before playing it away.

A player is cautioned (name taken/ booked) if he deliberately pushes an opponent, pulls or holds an opponent.

A player is permitted to lift/pick the ball off the ground, provided the player is not kneeling, sliding, sitting or lying on the ground.

A player who catches the ball over- head, direct from a kick-out, is permitted to take a mark or play on. The referee blows the whistle to indicate the mark has been awarded. A player who opts to take a mark must move back four steps before playing the ball away from his hands.

The ball may be played away with the hand by using the fist only.

All substitutions (up to five) to be made from the halfway line, after a wide score or injury stoppage, provided that the player(s) who is/are being replaced has/have left the field of play before the substitute(s) enters the field of play.

Two referees to be appointed for each game in McGrath Cup in Munster and O'Byrne Cup in Leinster. One referee to officiate in FBD League in Connacht and McKenna Cup in Ulster.
