Even without Spycher, the unbeaten Swiss will be strong favourites against the Faroes, whom they beat 6-0 at home last September, and will take pole position in the group if they do, at least until the game at Lansdowne is over.
Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos is in line to make his third appearance for the Swiss, who are playing their last qualifying game until next September when they take on Israel at home.
