World Cup Qualifiers Round-up: BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA 1, SPAIN 1: Spain were fortunate to earn a point from their opening Group Seven qualifier when they drew 1-1 draw away to Bosnia.
Vicente put the visitors ahead after 66 minutes but Bosnia's Elvir Bolic got an equaliser eight minutes later after a defensive error.
Bosnia would have won but for the heroics of Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas and some desperate last-ditch defending.
GREECE 0, TURKEY 0: Greece and Turkey drew in a lacklustre first competitive encounter between the two arch-rivals in their Group Two qualifier yesterday.
Stelios Giannakopoulos had a shot cleared of the Turkish goal-line in the 17th minute.
Turkey came closest to a goal eight minutes later but Nihat Kahveci's powerful shot was saved by Antonis Nikopolidis.
MOLDOVA 0, ITALY 1: Alessandro Del Piero scored his first goal for Italy in over a year as Marcello Lippi's side picked up their second straight win with a 1-0 away victory over Moldova in their Group Five game.
Del Piero fired home a fine shot from the edge of the area in the 32nd minute to ensure the visitors took the points.
Moldova's Serghei Dadu was sent off in the 77th minute.
AUSTRIA 2, AZERBAIJAN 0: Austria brushed aside an unimpressive Azerbaijan team 2-0 in their Group Six qualifier despite also missing a string of chances.
Austria, who are in the same group as England, Wales and Northern Ireland, struck midway through the first half with a goal by Martin Stranzl and scored again just before the break thanks to a Roland Kollman effort that put them in control.
SWEDEN 0, CROATIA 1: Darijo Srna's 63rd minute free-kick gave Croatia victory in their Group Eight qualifier against a Sweden side who failed to make the most of their numerous opportunities in Stockholm.
It was another impressive win for Croatia, 3-0 conquerors of Hungary on Saturday, while the Swedes came crashing down to earth after their 7-0 thrashing of Malta.
GERMANY 1 BRAZIL 1: Germany produced a combative display to hold world champions Brazil to a 1-1 draw in a fiercely contested friendly international in Berlin last night.
Ronaldinho opened the scoring for the visitors from a free-kick nine minutes into the clash before Brazil-born striker Kevin Kuranyi was left unmarked in the penalty area when he equalised for Germany eight minutes later.
