Scottish games fall foul of weather

Soccer: Bad weather in Scotland has forced five scheduled matches to be postponed today.

No Clydesdale Bank Premier League games have yet been affected, with Ayr's Irn-Bru First Division clash against Ross County the highest-profile victim.

High winds on Thursday caused damage to the main stand at Somerset Park and the fixture was cancelled.

In the Second Division Brechin versus Stirling and Forfar against East Fife were called off after failing pitch inspections.

Officials also decided to postpone Elgin's visit to Clyde and Berwick's trip to Peterhead in the Third Division.

Racing at Lingfield has also be cancelled, though Doncaster was given the go ahead after four inspections.
