Soccer:Goals from Chris Turner and Ken Oman helped Shamrock Rovers maintain their 100 per cent record in the new Airtricity League Premier Division season at the expense of Dublin rivals St Patrick's Athletic.

It took Rovers just 11 minutes to get off the mark and they did so in style when Turner fired in from just outside the box after some neat build-up play from Gary McCabe and Ronan Finn.

The champions missed a chance to double their lead in the first half, moments before the break, after Evan McMillan took down Gary O’Neill in the box.

McCabe stepped up and went to Gary Rogers’s right but the goalkeeper was equal to it.
