Following a scan today on the injury to Marcus Horan, it has been confirmed that the Ireland and Munster prop has torn his left calf muscle.
The recovery time from the injury will keep Horan out of playing until the New Year.
In addition to the 22 players who were on duty against Australia yester, 10 players have been called back into the Ireland squad in advance of this weekend's game against the Pacific Islanders.
