Gary Meehan scored 1-4 as Monaghan enjoyed a very comfortable B win over struggling Waterford at Clones yesterday.
The full forward's goal came in the opening minute, when he beat goalkeeper Paul O'Houlihan from the edge of the square after Darren Swift had put him clean through.
Monaghan led 1-10 to 0-4 at the break, and they also dominated a low-key second half.
