Kildare had a comprehensive win over Meath in a one-sided Leinster MFC first round replay at Newbridge. Corner forward Eamonn McCormack converted seven frees as the home side dominated the game from start to finish. McCormack and his namesake Derek McCormack monopolised the scoring for Kilfare to lead 0-10 to 1-4 at half time - the Meath goal coming from Philip Treacy after 25 minutes.

Meath won more possession in the second half but inaccuracy cost them crucial scores.
