Experienced and reliable, although this year has seen some weaknesses exposed by a creaking full-back line. His kick-outs can be too predictable. His most testing season to date.

2 Marc Ó Sé (An Ghaeltacht)

Age: 28. Height: 6ft. Weight: 12st 7lb.

Occupation: Teacher.

Hasn't reached the dizzy heights of last year but confidence has picked up since the dustings he got from Tommy Freeman and Michael Meehan. Will probably pick up dangerman Cavanagh tomorrow.

3 Tom O'Sullivan (Rathmore)

Age: 29. Height: 6ft 2in. Weight: 13st.

Occupation: Garda.

Concentration levels have been poor this year and he's been guilty of a few blunders and is far better suited to corner back. However, he has real pace and a good temperament for the big occasion.

4 Pádraig Reidy (Scartaglin)

Age: 21. Height: 6ft. Weight: 12st.

Occupation: Sales representative.

Was unfortunate to lose his place earlier this year, as he's an excellent man marker but league form was poor. Expect him to have a major role in trying to curtail McCullagh. Likes to mark from the front.

5 Tomás Ó Sé (An Ghaeltacht) Captain

Age: 30. Height: 5ft 11in. Weight: 12st 7lb.

Occupation: Teacher.

Inspirational, especially on attacking runs from wing back but defensively, he needs to get closer to his man. Going forward will need to use the ball well as Tyrone are so dangerous from turnovers.

6 Aidan O'Mahony (Rathmore)

Age: 28. Height: 6ft. Weight: 13st.

Occupation: Garda.

Strong, combative defender and a fine footballer. Has a good record in finals. He needs to concentrate on football and not get side-tracked into macho posturing and gamesmanship.

7 Killian Young (Renard)

Age: 21. Height: 6ft. Weight: 12st.

Occupation: Bank official.

Athletic, comfortable on the ball and clever with his passes. Needs to pay more attention to defence and will be severely tested by Dooher but he has the athleticism and mentality to stick to the task.

8 Darragh Ó Sé (An Ghaeltacht)

Age: 33. Height: 6ft. Weight: 14st.

Occupation: Auctioneer.

Kerry's leadership figure. Great ball-winner and delivery into forwards is also excellent. Not as mobile as he used to be, but conserving energy can be dangerous against Tyrone's running game.

9 Séamus Scanlon (Currow)

Age: 26. Height: 6ft 3in. Weight: 14st 5lb.

Occupation: Fitter.

Best year so far since putting a poor Munster final behind him. New defensive role really suits him. Great energy but unable to get damaging ball into the forwards. Should avoid fisted back passes.

10Bryan Sheehan (St Mary's)

Age: 23. Height: 6ft 2in. Weight: 13st 5lb.

Occupation: Student.

Very skilful and an excellent free taker. Has to raise work rate and put in telling, stopping tackles and not just stick out his arm and will have to track either Harte or Jordan. May be switched to the corner.

11Declan O'Sullivan (Dromid)

Age: 24. Height: 6ft. Weight: 13st.

Occupation: Marketing manager.

Complete footballer and exactly what you want at 11. Strong and an excellent ball carrier, with vision to pick out passes and clinical finishing ability. Mentally strong and able to raise his game.

12Eoin Brosnan (Dr Crokes)

Age: 28. Height: 6ft 3in. Weight: 14st.

Occupation: Solicitor.

Athletic and a good team player. Will be capable of playing the cover role and defending against Harte or Jordan. Willing and able to track back. Very comfortable on the big stage.

13Colm Cooper (Dr Crokes)

Age: 25. Height: 5ft 11in. Weight: 12st.

Occupation: Bank official.

Can be relied on to produce the goods when needed, which is the sign of a great player. Ideal corner forward with the ability to find space and a lethal finish. Great vision and unselfish use of the ball when opportunities materialise.

14Kieran Donaghy (Austin Stacks)

Age: 25. Height: 6ft 5in. Weight: 15st.

Occupation: Bank official.

Still improving but already an outstanding footballer at full forward and farther out when required. Combines "basketball" hands and vision to pick out great passes. The ultimate go-to player but must maintain composure throughout.

15Tommy Walsh (Kerins O'Rahilly)

Age: 20. Height: 6ft 4in. Weight: 16st 5lb.

Occupation: Student.

Powerful young player, who has added an extra dimension to the attack. Can match strength with good touch and is practically unstoppable on the move. Ball-winning is his main asset but still learning to pick out the right pass.
