BASKETBALL PREVIEWS:UL EAGLES will be looking to atone for their defeat to 11890 Killester earlier in the season when the sides meet in the Nivea For Men's Superleague on Sunday.

The game has the added spice of Eagles head coach Mark Keenan facing his former charges and he will be desperate to reverse the 67-59 defeat in October. His departure from Killester came as a surprise last summer considering he led the Dubliners to the National League title last season and the treble in the previous campaign.

However, his sole focus is now on UL Eagles and building on their recent revival after wins over UCD Marian and DCU Saints. “I feel we have made great steps forward and I am looking forward to overturning our defeat to Killester a few weeks ago,” said Keenan.

DCU Saints have been the surprise package of the season so far but their head coach David Donnelly is not surprised by their form ahead of their meeting with UCC Demons on Sunday. The Saints lead the Northern Conference and their 93-69 thumping of Killester last weekend was evidence of their plans to stay in pole position.
