DESPITE having slightly the better of the exchanges, the Republic of Ireland had to settle for a 1-1 draw in an entertaining under-15 international against Switzerland at the RSC in Waterford last night.

Keith Foy put Ireland in front from the penalty spot on 52 minutes. The Swiss equalised on 67 minutes when substitute Nenad Savic pounced on a loose clearance and from the edge of the area drilled the ball wide of Joseph Murphy.
