Players from Greystones dominated the East of Ireland Alliance outing at the European Club last week. Two handicapper Alan Condren, the son of Irish senior international Eddie, won the gross with 33 points, beating among others his father, scratch players Bryan Malone and Peter Lawrie as well as Sean McSherry from the host club and Newlands' seven-handicap golfer Sean Duffy. Meanwhile, his club colleague Dave Kirby, who plays off eight, took the nett prize with a fine score of 38 points on the tough Wicklow links. He finished just ahead of Killiney's Dermot McCarthy, who had 36 points off five.
