McKENNA CUP:Tyrone 2-11 Fermanagh 0-11: TYRONE FOLLOWED up their victory over Donegal on Sunday with a six-point win at Brewster Park last night.

Goals were to prove to be the difference after a scrappy encounter. A tight first half saw Fermanagh open up a four-point lead with Paul Ward the main threat.

However, Tyrone hit back to leave it level at the break, 0-6 to 1-3, the goal coming courtesy of a Martin Penrose penalty after Brian McGuigan was upended.

And Tyrone added a second goal early in the second half when Ciarán Girvan slotted home to make it 2-3 to 0-6.

Only one point separated the sides as the game moved into the final 10 minutes, but with Martin Penrose and Seán Cavanagh to the fore Tyrone hit five points in a row to take Mickey Harte’s team to the win.
