Kerry coming good under new management

Eamonn Kelly’s side easily brush off Kildare in Abbeydorney

Kerry 2-24
Kildare 0-13

Kerry's new brand of hurling, under new manager Eamonn Kelly, which involves moving the ball quickly to players in open spaces, appears to be reaping rich dividends.

Yesterday’s win over Kildare in Abbeydorney was their second from two games in the league.

This game was over at half time as Kerry led by 1-15 to 0-5, having played with a strong wind, with David Butler scoring a early goal, while three John Egan points from midfield, two more points from Butler, and two from Mikey Boyle, had the visitors in trouble all over the field.

It was more of the same in the second half, with Boyle adding a goal and three more points and, with Shane Nolan unerring from placed balls and play, Kildare had no answer.
