South Kerry Championship / St Mary's 1-9 St Michael's/Filemore 0-7: The Christmas bells rang early for St Mary's who completed the magical three-in-a-row South Kerry Championship titles on their own home ground where they overcame a young and very spirited St Michael's/Filemore side.

The losers failed to curb the class and genius of man-of-the-match Maurice Fitzgerald. The St Mary's stalwart controlled midfield and was the key figure in the contest from start to finish.

Fitzgerald helped out in defence when the need arose and instigated many attacking movements. He registered four points, one of which was surely the best score of the game.

This has been a great year for St Mary's, the club having already captured the Division One County league title.
