Cork intermediate side College Corinthians have forced the postponement of Sunday's FAI Cup second round re-fixture with Junior club Fairview Rangers from Limerick.

Fairview had an appeal upheld by the FAI on Thursday to have the first match, which ended scoreless, declared null and void after their player, Philip Purcell, was mistakenly sent-off while being stretchered off following a clash of heads.

The match had been re-fixed for the Fairgreen in Limerick tomorrow, but Corinthians' appeal against the decision of the FAI Protest Committee means the game is off pending a further hearing at Merrion Square next Tuesday at 12.0 p.m.
