The sudden death has occurred of Conrad O'Sullivan, the former Munster and Ireland Schools, Munster Under-20, Ireland Under-21 and Munster senior player. The Cork-born centre-cum-outhalf is a former captain of Cork Constitution, whom he served with great distinction.
O'Sullivan's ability was also recognised in being named on the AIB/Irish Times team of the season, after a series of outstanding performances at club level.
Quite apart from his prowess on the pitch, his easy modesty and affability marked him as one of the nicest and most genuine people in the sport.
He was a popular figure in rugby, making many friendships outside his club and province. All those whose lives he touched will miss him and we extend our sincere sympathy to his family.
