Cork 1-15 Waterford 2-7Champions Cork produced a stirring second-half comeback at Páirc Uí Chaoimh last night to book their place in the final. They outscored Waterford 1-10 to 0-3 on the resumption after the visitors threatened an upset.

Trailing by five points at the interval, Cork wiped out the deficit within three minutes. Eoin Murphy scored a point inside 30 seconds, followed a minute later by Patrick Horgan's goal, after a strong run. Peter O'Brien levelled almost immediately at 1-7 to 2-4.

Cork were on top in all areas in the entire second half, and six forwards, including substitute John Halbert, found the target.

Waterford, playing their fourth game in the championship, led by double scores, 2-4 to 0-5, at the interval. They were boosted by a goal after just three minutes when Craig Moloney scored with a low shot after Cork goalkeeper Richard O'Keeffe did well to deny John Gorman.
