BELLAGHY regained the Derry football title after a one year lapse when they beat a strong Dungiven team in an entertaining final at Celtic Park.

After a low scoring first half, the teams were, level on 0-3 each. The second half had barely started when Dungiven's Barry Kelly punched a Joe Brolly cross to the Bellaghy net.

Dungiven settled down and were on level terms 1-5 each with nine minutes remaining. At this stage the fluent Bellaghy team played some outstanding football and more or less sealed the game when Eunan Cassidy crashed in his second goal seven minutes from the end.
