All too easy for Limerick students

Limerick IT cruised into the semi-final of the Fitzgibbon Cup yesterday with a comfortable 10-point win over DCU.

The winners were reduced to 14 men 10 minutes from time but by then the game was as good as over as a contest.

Diarmuid Conway was top scorer for the winning side with 2-1 and James McDonald was top scorer for DCU with 2-4, one of his goals coming from a penalty when he beat the Galway goalkeeper, Nigel Murray, who nevertheless had a fine game.
