THE National Economic and Social Council has called for the introduction of a network programme to help indigenous companies. In a report, "Networking for Competitive Advantage", it develops the Culliton report's recommendation that Ireland should develop clusters of competitive advantage. The NESC recommends that a pilot project should be implemented. It should be overseen by a steering group set up by the Department of Enterprise and Employment and consisting of IBEC and the ICTU.
