Madam, - Mr Ned Deering (The Irish Times, January 12th) is naturally upset that he is not able to bring his special vehicle for people with mobility problems to country shows and festivals. On reading the article it is obviously very unfair to blame the Irish Shows Association.

The genuine people with disabilities are unfortunately the victims of the many spurious and false claims encouraged, aided and abetted by the legal profession.

It is a tragedy to see such public minded people frustrated in their efforts. So may I suggest that Mr Deering take up this matter with the Law Society, representing solicitors, and the Bar Council, representing barristers? - Yours, etc.,
