Troubled waters over bridge naming

Sir, – Noel Gregory raises some very interesting points in his letter (June 14th) about the naming of the new Liffey bridge, before coming down in favour of either WB Yeats or Swift. As there is already a Dean Swift Bridge over the Tolka at Mobhi Road, would it be too much to expect the city councillors, in a spirit of goodwill, to row in behind Mr Gregory and call it after Yeats? – Yours, etc,
