Madam, - It's curious, isn't it, how every time the Vintners' Federation noisily defends its stance on the forthcoming smoking ban, it argues everything except the basic reason for the ban: that smoking can kill. Sorry, boys and girls, but most of us see the sense in banning something that really does harm you.
The VF is beginning to look like one of its customers after a long session: loud, obnoxious, and needing to be ejected.
Perhaps it's time the federation left the building, got a taxi home, and had a good lie-down. - Yours, etc.,
