Sir, – Regarding Cliona Hannon’s observation on third-level entries from fee-paying schools (April 18th). Surely the value obtained by the State in getting such a high quality return for its support of fee-paying schools would support the argument for the expansion of such schools rather than the reduction of State support for the sector? – Yours, etc,
