Madam, – Kenneth Doyle reports difficulties in getting a response from the Garda helpline for abuse victims (Letters, January 13th). I would like to highlight that there is a 24-hour helpline available for victims of abuse or for anyone who needs information or support on rape and childhood sexual abuse.
The number is 1 800 77 88 88 when calling from Ireland and +353 1 661 4911 when calling from abroad.
