Sir, - Congratulations on the publication of John Waters's excellent column of October 30th, "How media injure and profit by defamation." It's good to hear a dissenting voice amid the howls of newspaper proprietors looking for a relaxation of Irish libel laws.
My view is quite simple. Print the truth or pay the price. I doubt very much that the Irish public have much of an appetite for the standards of the British tabloids. - Yours, etc.,
