Madam, - Through your pages, I would like to congratulate Hugh Golden on his excellent article on homophobia (The Irish Times, May 18th).
Mr Golden has clearly expressed what should be enunciated every day - that those who do not protest against expressions of bigotry and discrimination, are as guilty as the perpetrators.
All manifestations of hatred and prejudice must be nipped in the bud. Our teachers and our leaders have the responsibility to do this and to set an example for everyone on this island. - Yours, etc,
