Revenge of the spellchecker

Sir, – I read “Talking Turkey” in the Magazine as I know the area reasonably well (May 21st). “Camel Titlark” is presumably the great Kamal Ataturk, the misnaming of whom might still be considered an offence in Turkey. I presume “Turned” is Turunc and “Similar” is Selimiye. – Yours, etc,

CHERRY POYNTON,

Blackrock, Co Dublin.

Sir, – The scourge of the “spellcheck” is sometimes amusing, but mostly annoying. – Yours, etc,

BERNICE DONOGHUE,

Dublin 1.
