Referendum on judges' pay

Sir, – Maybe I’ll be the only person to do so, but I will be voting No to the referendum on reducing judges’ pay

Sir, – Maybe I’ll be the only person to do so, but I will be voting No to the referendum on reducing judges’ pay. A Yes vote would only legitimise the pay reductions already imposed on the rest of the public service.

Had I been asked, I would have refused to take a pay cut. I do not believe in the “sharing the pain” policy of the Government. The only people and organisations that should be paying for this crisis are those who caused it.

We should not have taken on the debts of the banks. They should have been allowed to fail and we should default on the bank debt portion of our national debt, irrespective of what the EU says. – Yours, etc,
