Public inconvenience

Sir, – I can empathise with Rosita Boland in her Broadside column (“Women need toilets more than men do. Why are there never enough?”, June 12th). Our public loos are insufficient and often a disgrace. The ladies are definitely at a disadvantage. Let’s have more female architects involved in the design. Let’s work towards a grading system. Full marks to the National Concert Hall, which doubled its number of loos for ladies some time ago. It can be done. Could Fáilte Ireland be encouraged to get involved? – Yours, etc,
