Sir, - We hear so many complaints about public transport in this country, but I am writing in praise of Bus ╔ireann.
As a frequent user of buses, may I express my delight at the improvement in both frequency and punctuality of the buses I have used recently. A bus every hour from Cork to Galway and eight buses a day from Cork to Clonakilty -_ the routes I use most - are a great service and it is incredible how little time is lost in the inevitable traffic snarls entering and leaving cities.
I have also found drivers courteous and helpful. - Yours, etc.,
