Sir, – When it comes to rerouting bus routes, there are a good number of underutilised small and large streets in the capital. It is hard to imagine that until recently the narrow Suffolk Street was a main route for hundreds of buses daily on route to College Green. It was once thought impossible to close Grafton Street and Henry Street to traffic but, like the rest of Europe, we are discovering the benefits of more open pedestrian spaces and the appreciation of beautiful buildings. – Yours, etc,
JOE RYAN,
Churchtown,
