Madam, - I would like to add my name to the list of correspondents who, over the past month or so, have expressed their concern about the state of family law in Ireland. I hope that the law will soon be revised so that it will no longer add to the suffering of already traumatised victims of marital infidelity.

Like some of the other correspondents, I would not recommend marriage in Ireland, as the law stands. It is also detrimental to respect for the institution of marriage that not all of the Christian Churches in Ireland uphold the concepts of fidelity within marriage and marriage continuing until death intervenes. - Yours, etc.,
