Sir, - How wonderful it was to see the reception that greeted Roy Keane on his return to Old Trafford on Saturday, where a banner with the words "Roy Keane - Adored in Manchester" was unfurled. How little changes; once again, one of our greatest Irishmen has to go abroad to be appreciated, while the uninformed begrudgers at home spew their hysterical nonsense. They're welcome to Mick McCarthy. Those of us who have higher expectations for Irish football and a knowledge of the game will continue to support Roy Keane, the true Irish captain. - Yours, etc.,
