Madam, – As I gazed at your photo of the abandoned digger protruding from the punctured bank in Athboy (Home News, July 27th), I wondered if embedding a GPS device in every ATM machine could put a halt to this type of crime? All our boys in blue would then have to do would be to call around to the relevant location, ask the occupants if they wouldn’t awfully mind giving back the missing machine and inviting them to spend some time as a guest of the State.
