Sir, - I wish to thank both your enlightened readers for replying to my query. I agree wholeheartedly with their comments on patients' testing.
In my opinion, patients should automatically be tested for HIV on admission to hospital, as they are to ascertain blood groups etc. I cannot understand this rule forbidding testing; common sense should tell that failure to do so shows a great lack of maturity, in facing the world as it is today. - Yours, etc.,
